Being at the forefront of an evolving market, we are able to align our activities with the ever-changing European biofuels legislation. UNICOR operates within the Renewable Energy Directive framework and we have developed a fully audited system for product sustainability and traceability. UNICOR and its entities are ISCC certified.
We are also a leader in the waste-based biodiesel market. UNICOR owns and operates a manufacturing plant dedicated to producing biodiesel from used cooking oil. Located in Brunsbüttel, on the Kiel Canal near Hamburg, the plant is ideally placed to serve the large German biodiesel market as well as the strategic Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam oil hubs. The group is a major importer of biodiesel in the United Kingdom and France.
Combined with our middle distillates trading expertise, UNICOR is a strong and dependable partner in the biodiesel market. We supply biodiesel to a large number of European customers including to major refiners.
